I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
